There are some amazing X Plane 11 airports to download. Global sceneries are plentiful in X Plane and there is a popular choice of fantastic airports. Scenery comes in many forms including the default plus freeware airports then there are professional airports from developers like ORBX just to name one for now that produce just amazing levels of detail.
You can couple some small add-on scripts to bring them to life with real time flights coming and going from your favourite airport. Pick Miami and you will likely see constant streams of aircraft flying the circuit and landing. These can be synced to real world traffic to bring the realism a step closer to amazing.
How to get amazing scenery.
Yes you can download lots of free scenery from xplane.org from amazing airport creators like MRX6. Search for him and all his fantastic scenery will appear in front of you. You can create your own airports with World Editor which is free and uses all the scenery and items from within X Plane. You can also use the Overlay Editor and create or download your own libraries of objects. This is a lot of fun and my choice but it has limitations in that sharing can be more problematic as you have to be sure what libraries you used and include this list with your offerings so people can download and enjoy your scenery as you intended.
There are some great scenery developers out there like ORBX which is very large and has airports all around the world to PropStrike Studios who have just a few great offerings currently. You can also head to XPFR and this french speaking community of scenery creators has a list of French airports and scenery available plus we again cannot forget Xplane.org.
